Chadd Griggs Drops

Tucson, AZ Team POSTAL – a group of five Mixed Martial Artists (MMA)
sponsored by videogame publisher Running With Scissors (RWS)
– notched another victory this past weekend, bringing its collective
record to 8-1 since signing with RWS. The latest hero is heavyweight Chad
Griggs, who stopped veteran Homer Moore in round three at last Saturday's
Rage in the Cage 81 in the Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, AZ, earning Fight of
the Night recognition in the process.
Chad was originally scheduled to demolish Gilbert
Aldana for the RITC Heavyweight honors. Injuries to the champion forced
the change to a battle of top heavyweight contenders that was dominated by
Griggs from the opening bell. Homer withstood the barrage for two rounds
but was finished off by a stiff strike 30 seconds into the third go-round.
"He's a big, tough guy," conceded the 231 lb. Griggs,
"but luckily I was in better cardio shape. He took me down a few times,
but I was able to keep from getting hurt on the ground. The stand-up game
was mine. I was able to stick him a few good times and in the third round
I was able to hit him with something that dropped him." In addition to
sporting the POSTAL colors, Chad was anxious to extend credit to his
training partners Lyle Stephens and fellow members of Team POSTAL, Shane
Johnson and Ed West.
Other members of Team POSTAL include Drew Fickett
and Hayley Salazar, our first female MMA fighter. "We were looking for a
