The Urinal: A Stream Of TruthGet Your Passport to the Postal NationNew eMagazine to Replace the RWS Newsletter By Bill "Game Doctor" Kunkel
“Those who are not busy being born are busy dying.” The one constant in life is change. In the course of 2006, Running With Scissors issued a steady stream of new products and major announcements. Our game was made into a movie with a cameo by Vince Desi himself as a human nutsack; the Postal Babe franchise grew by nips and mounds; we released our first music CD and produced several graphic stories based on the POSTAL characters. Finally, we announced the beginning of development on the long-awaited POSTAL III—on both PC and Xbox 360 systems. In the process of all this growth and change, among many, many other things, this newsletter essentially outgrew its humble origins. The RWS Newsletter was never seriously “designed” and we were basically happy with its DIY ambiance. But Running With Scissors and the POSTAL franchise have become a recognized mainstream brand in the past year and with most of the coming year destined to be taken up by the development of the third major installment of that brand, we began to feel that maybe this newsletter that we managed to get out every few months should actually become, well, you know… professional? Settle down. We’re not going crazy here; we’re simply planning to introduce a new and somewhat classier interface for this online publication. In fact, we’ve even stolen the title from one of this newsletter’s most popular sections: POSTAL NATION. So prepare yourselves. When POSTAL NATION arrives, it may not look RWS at first, but continue to stare at it. Note that we have retained all the elements of this newsletter and only added content and quality. Keep staring. Harder. Stare long enough and you will probably have an epileptic seizure (hey, it IS a Collector’s Edition!). Meanwhile, we’re taking the RWS Newsletter out with a bang! We’ve got a new strategy column covering the POSTAL 2 Multiplayer MOD AirMail; a special section containing interviews with the lead actor and actress from Uwe Boll’s “Postal”; lots of news; a complete compilation of POSTAL videos and both a Postal Babe AND a series of PBabe Cartoon Pin-Ups. So step through the curtains one last time. Smell it. Go ahead, it won’t kill you. Smells kinda like… Victory!
