POSTAL BULLETS
News From The Postal Underworld

RWS wishes everyone a happy Nonspecific Politically Correct Holiday Thingy

...which includes futuristic Jews apparently.

Some lucky kid is going to find a passed out Santa under his tree!
RWS Christmas Bash 2006
Unfortunately nobody died, we didn't get thrown out and only one chair got puked on, so clearly we'll have to try harder next year! The venue was Vivace, longtime favorite of the RWS veterans, with a special menu of awesome Italian delicacies hand picked (and some of which invented by) Vince & Mike J. There was also the traditional gift bucket giveaway, this time featuring a "fudge" theme including more chocolate-based items than you'd think even exist. I suggested a hypo full of insulin be included, but nobody listens to me. In addition to the usual suspects, Rachel "vocalist to go Postal By" Immerman and Rick "Voice of the Postal Dude" Hunter were in attendance.

...and the Baby Jesus said: "Let there be redeye for everyone! Ho Ho Ho!"

Fudge Pack, "Music to Go Postal By" Arrive in RWS Store
For all those dedicated Postal-packing gamers in search of cool new stuff from RWS, be aware that the long-awaited and oh-so-sweet POSTAL FUDGE PACK is now available.

And if that isn’t enough, RWS has just taken our first stab at the world of music. The compilation “Music to Go Postal By” CD features over a dozen musical entries from an array of international musicians as inspired by the fever dream ambiance of the POSTAL games.
For more on the CD, including a list of contributing artists, check out this issue’s POSTAL NATION column.
Firing Squad Gets First Shot at POSTAL III News
The first details regarding the recently announced POSTAL III are currently online. Check out the earlybird exclusive we gave to Firing Squad.
POSTAL Movie News
With the POSTAL film now complete, you can read all about our participation at the Inside Mac Games site and in the January ’07 issue of Tips & Tricks magazine in which the lovely Abigail Heppe talks to Vince about employing the Stanislavski “method” while ensconced within a Krotchy costume.
Some sites you might want to check out include Gareth Von Kallenbach’s take on the POSTAL movie and for the on-set skinny and a set of great pictures (including Vince in his Krotchy suit and Vince attacking Uwe) you’ve got to check out Game Set Watch.

Vince was the biggest prick on the set...
PC World: POSTAL No Longer Worst... Game... Ever
Once upon a time, we were, without dispute, the Worst. No self-serving, err, self-respecting game magazine could compile a list of the world’s most harmful, dangerous, scandalous, psychotic or just plain bad video and computer games without a POSTAL entry burning brightly atop the list.
Ah, how times have changed. The software market, it seems, is now so choked with amoral games full of mindless violence, rampaging brutality and senseless sexuality that the POSTAL games are now only tops in the areas of social satire, cult appeal, comedic mayhem and solid gameplay.
Of course, for years we tried to convince the media that the point of the POSTAL games was that they were only as violent as the gamer at the controls wanted them to be. We were always more interested in black comedy than blood-drenched melodrama.
Well, now the whole world knows about it. As David Weller, Program Manager for Game Development Communities sadly informed us, POSTAL 2 didn’t even get a mention in PC World’s recent listing of the “10 Worst Games of All Time.”
Only the original POSTAL got any negative props – and that was only as one of many Runners-Up. And this was a list that included the Colecovision classic, “Smurf Rescue” (the archetype for all the early Mario Bros. games)!
I guess we have to live with it; we’re just not the Worst anymore. We must try harder.
POSTAL Returns to the Pages of Hustler
If you happen to be holding the January ’07 issue of HUSTLER magazine in your hands, go wash your hands, clean off the slick paper and turn to page 33 to check out … a series of POSTAL 2 game cheats! That’s right, no Postal Babes, just legitimate tips and tricks which we handed over to HUSTLER Entertainment Editor and general good guy Tom Farrell.
This is our second appearance in HUSTLER, by the way, but the first time WAS for the Postal Babes.
POSTAL Quizzed on National Public Radio
Here’s something we don’t hear every day: friend of RWS Ricker alerted us recently that POSTAL was “mentioned substantively on the NPR [National Public Radio – the PBS of radio] quiz show ‘Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!”. The show runs on Saturdays and we’ll have more information for you if we ever get any.
International Insanity
German The Dude Magazine - This is the most ambitious POSTAL fan magazine project we have seen and contains original material. We at RWS are in the process of granting them free access to all materials from The Urinal – in fact, since some of these publications can show nip, you might want to check them out for POSTAL Babe shots that even WE can't show you. In any case, at the moment this is simply a magazine devoted to POSTAL and The Dude and whether you can read German or not, it's well worth checking out. In fact, when you check out the Postal Nation column in this issue, you'll learn about an incredible new project being launched by Stefan – The Dude DataBase!
Also, our old friend Ralf Strugale has updated his cool German POSTAL site at http://www.postal-world.de/
Russian Russia has certainly embraced the POSTAL series – we've sold, like, millions of copies over there – so it was inevitable that a site such as this would turn up. Take a trip that melts the Iron Curtain, comrades, and see what a Urinal looks like in Russia .
Portuguese Postal Network: Pedro is among our oldest and most loyal fans and among the first to seek permission to translate our newsletter into other tongues.
Swedish I mean, with all those hot, blond POSTAL Babes, you KNEW there hadda be a Swedish version, right?
Italian Manuel Marino, another of our true veterans and hall of fame fans brings you a Urinal with Italiano zest!
Benelux/Dutch D. Dam Wichers decided The Benelux countries need The Urinal too, folks. This is a recent effort and we wish Danny Dam the best of luck.
Japan Toshi informs us POSTAL is extremely popular in the Pacific Rim and I'm sure we'd do even better there if we included bondage shots in the games. Oh well, you can't have everything.
Gallic/French This is the publication that drew 18 different suggestions for an appropriate translation of our title. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Ouamdu Ouamdu to run here.
This International POSTAL phenomenon has somewhat overwhelmed us, but if you're game for posting our newsletter in the language of your choice (from Klingon to Hobbit to Brad Pitt in "Snatch"), let us know and we'll do anything we can to help get you started.
