WRAP-UP: Well, The Postal League wrapped up Season 1 with total Postal insanity with 6 teams competing for the #1 spot in the league. Friday June 24th started it off with a match between 2 great European teams, RM and BL, with RM pulling off the win 2-0. Saturday continued Round 1 with 2 matches. First BAMF took it to MH, beating them 2-0. Then came the game of the year!! EB vs HeD....WOW!! The first game of the match in Ponderous was total insanity with the game running almost a full hour. In the end EB pulled off the win 2-0 in the match. Sunday saw BAMF and RM squaring off in Round 2 with BAMF winning 2-0. This left us with 2 teams battling for the title of "Postal League Champions", BAMF vs EB. Although BAMF put up a valiant fight, the undefeated Elite Bastards won the match 2-0 and were dubbed the champs. All in all everything went very smoothly over the whole tournament weekend. I would like to thank all the teams involved for showing up, playing, and having a great time. Now...ON TO SEASON 2!! We don't have an exact date yet but Season 2 of the Postal league will begin towards the end of August. Season 2 is bringing a few very good changes. 1st off we will be implementing the 0 ping mutator to help level the playing field a little. We also just today got 2 Official Euro servers up and running so next season will consist of "home" and "away" games for U.S. and Euro teams and will also let the euro teams play on a euro server when they play each other. I want to personally thank the following people: * Marvin , who was a HUGE help throughout the tournament reffing matches * Vince Desi and RWS for all the support and backing they have given the Postal league * Gameservers.net for hooking us up with our 2 new official Euro servers * Xgameservers and Unrealservers for hosting our Official servers And if you think you have what it takes to hang with the big boys then get over to WWW.POSTALLEAGUE.COM and get a new team started for Season 2. Once again congratulations to the Elite Bastards, the 2004/2005 undefeated Season Champions. They will be taking home signed copies of Apocalypse Weekend . --MoFo

CPL 2005 Report
Mike J here…..fresh off the plane from Grapevine, TX! Summer CPL 2005 was quite an event. We were teamed up with NVIDIA to show off POSTAL 2: Apocalypse Weekend at their booth, as well as with IBM/Hitachi. After the first day hurdle of getting our signage corrected (they called the game Apocolypse….that's right, they didn't even spell "Apocalypse" correctly) everything went smoothly. We had our own game pod showing off AW , and everyone loved it. Every time someone would play, a crowd of people would form around the pod and everyone would laugh. While all the other games had their fair share of players, AW always had a person playing it. Hitachi was running little multiplayer games on a couple of machines and everyone at Hitachi was great. While the same old teams won the big tournaments at CPL, the attendants got their injection of the boomerang machete at the NVIDIA and Hitachi booth. With Quakecon only 3 weeks away, hopefully the Gaylord Texan is ready for Postal to come back!!
NEXT ISSUE: That's right, folks, it's the special POSTAL LEAGUE Issue! So gird thy virtual loins, hone thy reflexes and prepare to be swept away by the prospect of an entire Urinal full of POSTAL Teams, all trying to use that same broken hot air hand dryer at the same time! Boohoohahahahaha!
