From the gimp's pit - Editorial: The Urinal
- A Stream of Truth
By The Gimp So nice to see you all gathered here at this rancid pisshole for our special Post-E3 '04 issue of The Urinal. For those of you who get G4, the American gaming channel, you've probably seen many of the supposed highlights. But if you're receiving this, we already suspect that you'd prefer to take a walk on E3's Wild Side. Yeah, sure, you've seen the idiot with the "real" release date for Halo 2 fake-tattooed on his mangy bicep, but have you seen the Reeperbaum of E3 Booth Hotties? Traversed the show floor in the company of Gary Coleman and the Postal Babes? Seen the RWS crew swap stories with the industry's famous and infamous? Of course you haven't. That's why we're here. Check out our very special E3 pictorial as well as the latest news regarding Apocalypse Weekend, the long-awaited release of the 1409 Patch and news of our arrival on European shores. And don't worry, we haven't forgotten about last issue's discussion of Music to Play POSTAL By. A fan named Brett (bizzybwax@yahoo.com) sent us a REALLY comprehensive list that included: Superjoint Ritual - Dress Like A Target; Ill Nino - God Is I; In Flames – Trigger; Kicked in the Head - I Want You Dead; Machine Head – Davidian; Metallica - Master of Puppets; Marilyn Manson - The Fight Song; Mnemic – Ghost; Mudvayne - On the Move; Nothingface - Can't Wait For Violence; Otep - Battle Ready; Slipknot – Slipknot; Slipknot - The Heretic Anthem and finally... anything by All That Remains. Fleshtwister, meanwhile, writes: "I just read that stuff The Gimp posted about the 'musical tidbits that best evoke the postal spirit in your gamer's soul.' I would like to add the song that I love to hear while playing POSTAL 2... THRESHOLD by SLAYER! It's bloody awesome... just listen to the lyrics and the screaming and you will know why." Keep sending in your music faves; we may eventually run a poll to name THE perfect song to accompany the mayhem of POSTAL. This issue we're also expanding our review section with looks at books and other such entertainments. Now get out there and vicariously soak up the E3 Vibe. Oh yes, I'd seriously suggest you all wash your hands on the way out. Seriously. -- The Gimp
